Tiebreak Procedures When Two Teams Have Identical Records
Cactus Foothills North Little League uses the following tiebreak procedures when two teams have identical records:
- The tiebreak goes to the team with the best record in head-to-head play.
- If the teams remain tied, the tiebreak goes to the team with the higher winning percentage in intradivision/intraleague games.
- If the teams remain tied, the tiebreak goes to the team with the higher winning percentage in the last half of the season in intradivision/intraleague games.
- If the teams remain tied, the tiebreak goes to the team with the higher winning percentage in the last half of the season plus one of the intradivision/intraleague games in the season, provided that such additional game was not a game between the two tied teams. This process will be followed game-by-game until the tie is broken.
The tiebreak procedures used by the Cactus Foothills North Little League are modeled after the procedures used in Major League Baseball.
