What is the eScrip program?

Introduced by Electronic Scrip Inc. (ESI), the eScrip program is a fundraising  program that allows participating merchants to contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards. Paperbased fundraising programs have become a proven benefit to schools, churches, organizations, and to all the  children involved with these participating organizations. The eScrip program brings an unprecedented ease of  use and many other advantages to fundraising programs -- it's the best vehicle for simple, year-round  fundraising. The eScrip program streamlines the whole fundraising process and puts everyone -- the  organization, the kids, their parents, and the community -- in the winner's circle.    

Is it a special card?

No, to use the program, you simply register your existing grocery loyalty card (in this case,  the Safeway Club Card). Safeway has agreed to donate a percentage of your expenditures to your enrolled  school or organization.    

Can I have family members register their cards?

Yes, our merchants include participants from across the  United States. You simply send a registration form to extended family/friends for their participation with the  eScrip program. You may either register online or download registration forms from our web site.    

Will participation in the eScrip program prevent me from getting my usual club card discount at the cash  register- even if I pay with a check or cash?

No, all club card discounts remain in place and run in  conjunction with our program.    

What cards does the eScrip program accept for registration?

Grocery loyalty cards.  (eScip also has a  program whereby individuals many register their Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and debit/ATM  card and when shopping at selected merchants, a percentage goes to their organization of choice.)
