Welcome to Cactus Foothills Little League North!

On this landing page, you will find links to all sorts of helpful information.

On this page:

The CFLL-N Website

Our website, http://www.cfll-north.com, contains a wealth of information regarding the league and contact information for the board. From time to time, key information is posted and you are urged to check there frequently or contact the CFLL-N League Information Officer if you have questions. For example, if it happens to rain and games are cancelled, game cancellation information will be posted on the website.

Parent's Code of Conduct

Each parent is obligated to comply with the League’s Code of Conduct. While the vast majority of you are model Little League parents, we have recently run into some issues which require both the adoption of such a Code, as well as written acknowledgement of compliance by all participants. Please carefully read the Code because having a signed form on file is a requirement in order to have your child participate. By signing the registration form you are agreeing to comply with the Code. Failure to comply with the Code could result in your inability to participate in league events—including attending your child’s games

Coach and League Evaluations

At the end of each season, we ask every family to complete a Coach & League Evaluation Form. This helps us improve our league. If you did not get a form from your coach, please use this form.

Registration

Prior to the start of the fall or summer softball and baseball seasons, a series of registration events will be held to sign players up for the season. Online registration will be available as well.  Detailed information about the registration process, registration fees, and all required documents will be made available way in advance of the registration sessions. This information will be mailed to the league-wide distribution list as well as made available on the CFLL-N website.

Refund Policy

Cactus Foothills North Little League respects the rights of parents to withdraw their players for any reason and at any time. The refund policy of Cactus Foothills North Little League is as follows:

  1. If a player withdraws after registering, but before the draft has occurred for his / her eligible division (Juniors, Majors, AAA, AA, Farm, etc) you are entitled to a refund of your registration fees, less $25.00. Registration Fees do not include late fees or other payments.

  2. There is no refund if a player withdraws after the draft has occurred for his / her eligible division (Juniors, Majors, AAA, AA, Farm, etc).

Skills Evaluations

Skills Evaluations/Tryouts. Skills Evaluations are very important. Tryouts provide the coaches with very important information that helps us in our efforts for competitive balance. Please be aware that if your child does not attend tryouts, he/she will not (i) be eligible to play up in a higher division, (ii) will be placed on a team by blind-draw, (iii) will not be eligible to be traded to another team (even if a particular manager really wants him/her); and (iv) may not be eligible for All-Stars.

Volunteers

There are a number of ways that parents can assist their team’s manager and the League. We are always in need of volunteers—whether it is helping with field improvements, coordinating fundraisers, serving as game umpires, working the snack bar, etc. Please carefully consider these opportunities when called to your attention. We are a volunteer-run organization and are in need of your time more than your money.

Team Sponsorships

Each team is required to secure a team sponsor. The cost begins at only $400 per team and includes not only your business name on the backs of the jerseys, but also recognition on our website and a thank you plaque from your team. It is tax deductible and will be greatly appreciated. Other types of sponsorships are available as well and can be found on the Sponsors section of the CFLL-N website.

Managing and Coaching

Anyone interested in managing or coaching must complete a Coaches Application. In addition, anyone interested in being considered to manage must be interviewed (regardless whether you have managed in the past) and go through a background check. Interviews and background checks will be conducted prior to manager/coach selection. Managing candidates must submit applications at/around registration time. Forms will be available at registration and (as referenced above) posted on the CFLL-N website.  Managers will also be required to attend League Managers meetings and at least one Coaching Clinic.
