Change in League Age Date

Little League International has changed the date it uses for consideration of a player’s league age.  Starting this year, the league age is determined by a player’s age as of April 30th not the August 31st date previously used.  

This date change means any player with a May, June or July birth date will remain the same league age as they were last year and gain an extra year of eligibility.  

Local League Rules Remain in Effect 

Those affected by this change may also have it affect the level at which they are eligible to play.  Players remaining league age 9 are not eligible for Majors, players remaining league age 7 are not eligible for Minors and players remaining league age 5 are not eligible for Farm.

Tryout Information

Majors Tryouts (New Format) -

Tryouts are TIME SPECIFIC this year and are on either Friday January 27 or February 3 at Sonoran Trails Middle School lighted field from 6pm – conclusion (approx 9p). 

Players MUST be at the field warmed up at 6pm and will be required to stay for each skill evaluation.  Tryouts are no longer an open format where players go through each station at their own pace. 

Players will all complete each skill evaluation together.  Please bring warm clothes and expect longer tryouts.

Players must attend tryouts if they wish to be eligible for the Majors draft.
