Player Agents, Umpires, Coaching, and All-Star Coordinators


This page provides a detailed description of the duties and powers of player agents, umpire, and coaching coordinators on the Cactus Foothills North Board of Directors. The identified coordinators have the duties and powers as identified in the Cactus Foothills North Little League Constitution or so determined by the Cactus Foothills North Board of Directors.

Umpire Chief
Board Position

The Umpire Coordinator shall:

    • Recruit umpires for the league
    • Reschedule umpires, in compliance with CFLL-North policies
    • Conduct an umpire clinic and communicate with the league’s expectations.
    • Monitor umpire performance to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of rules and league guidelines.
    • Member of the Little League protest committee, along with the President, the appropriate Player Agent and the League Coordinator.
    • Perform field duty assignments, as scheduled, or arrange for a replacement.
Chief Player Agent
Board Position

The Senior Player Agent shall:

    • Oversee and direct division Player Agents and be ultimately accountable for the duties, actions, and activities for the Division Player Agents including the following:
    1. Be accountable for all player transactions and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record thereof for CFLL-North.
    2. Receive and review all applications for player candidates and assist the President in verifying residence and age eligibility.
    3. Oversee smooth operation of all of the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transaction or selection meetings.
    4. Prepare the Player Agent’s list.
    5. Prepare for the President’s signature and submission to Little League Headquarters, team rosters, including players’ claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit.
    6. Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
    Player Agent - Majors
    Board Position

    The Player Agent – Majors shall:

      • Be the Player Agent in the CFLL-North Majors division only
      • Record all player transactions and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record thereof.
      • Receive and review applications for player candidates and assist the President in verifying residence and age eligibility.
      • Conduct the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transaction or selection meetings.
      • Prepare the Player Agent’s list.
      • Prepare for the President’s signature and submission to Little League Headquarters, team rosters, including players’ claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit. 
      • Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
    Player Agent - Minors AAA

    Board Position

    The Player Agent – Minors shall:

      • Be the Player Agent in CFLL-North Minors AAA and AA divisions only
      • Record all player transactions and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record thereof.
      • Receive and review applications for player candidates and assist the President in verifying residence and age eligibility.
      • Conduct the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transaction or selection meetings.
      • Prepare the Player Agent’s list.
      • Prepare for the President’s signature and submission to Little League Headquarters, team rosters, including players’ claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit. 
      • Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
    Player Agent - Farm
    Board Position  

    The Player Agent – Farm shall:

      • Be the Player Agent in CFLL-North Farm division only
      • Record all player transactions and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record thereof.
      • Receive and review applications for player candidates and assist the President in verifying residence and age eligibility.
      • Conduct the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transaction or selection meetings.
      • Prepare the Player Agent’s list.
      • Prepare for the President’s signature and submission to Little League Headquarters, team rosters, including players’ claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit. 
      • Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
    Player Agent - Teeball
    Board Position  

    The Player Agent – Teeball shall:

      • Be the Player Agent in CFLL-North Tee Ball division only
      • Record all player transactions and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record thereof.
      • Receive and review applications for player candidates and assist the President in verifying residence and age eligibility.
      • Conduct the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transaction or selection meetings.
      • Prepare the Player Agent’s list.
      • Prepare for the President’s signature and submission to Little League Headquarters, team rosters, including players’ claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit. 
      • Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
    Player Agent - Softball
    Board Position

    The Softball Coordinator shall:

      • Prepare the Player Agent’s list.
      • Prepare for the President’s signature and submission to Little League Headquarters, team rosters, including players’ claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit. 
      • Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
    Player Agent - Softball
    Board Position

    The Softball Coordinator shall:

      • Take ownership of all aspects of the softball program;
      • Ensure managers are aware of interleague rules;
      • Ensure managers are aware of the expectations of the Board (playing time, taking care of equipment, concession involvement, etc.)
      • Communicates all interleague rules with the managers
      • Be the Player Agent in CFLL-North Softball division only
      • Record all player transactions and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record thereof.
      • Receive and review applications for player candidates and assist the President in verifying residence and age eligibility.
      • Conduct the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transaction or selection meetings.
      • Prepare the Player Agent’s list.
      • Prepare for the President’s signature and submission to Little League Headquarters, team rosters, including players’ claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit. 
      • Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
    Coach Coordinator
    Board Position

    The Coaches Coordinator shall:

      • Represent coaches/managers in league;
      • Present a coach/manager training budget to the board;
      • Develop and implement a league-wide training program for managers and coaches;
      • Order and distribute training materials to players, coaches and managers;
      • Coordinate mini-clinics as necessary;
      • Serve as the contact person for Little League and its manager-coach education program for the league
      • Coordinate volunteer manager and assistant coach applications process
